1. Who we are

CosmoMatch is an international, independent project. For the purposes of this policy the data controller is referred to as the CosmoMatch Project Team. You can reach us at privacy@cosmomatch.me.

2. What we collect

To provide our features we may process: your email address, a display name, your date, time and place of birth, a self-described gender preference, photos and a short bio you choose to upload, and basic usage data (features you open, research you complete)

We do not collect passport or government ID data, phone numbers, payment card details, or precise geolocation. City fields are entered by you manually; we never request device location

3. How we use it

Your data is used to build your astrological profile, calculate compatibility, generate personal research, match you with other users, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data

4. Where it is processed — international transfer

CosmoMatch is an international service. Your data is stored and processed on infrastructure located outside your country of residence, including servers in the United States and Europe operated by third-party providers (such as cloud hosting and AI services)

For users located in the Russian Federation: your personal data may be transferred to and processed outside the Russian Federation. By creating an account and using CosmoMatch you give your consent to this cross-border transfer of your personal data

5. Third-party processors

We rely on a small number of processors (cloud database/hosting, AI text generation, delivery of emails). Each processor handles only what is needed to run the service

6. Retention and your rights

You keep control of your data. You may access, correct, or delete it at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, use “Delete account” in your profile, or email us at privacy@cosmomatch.me. We will erase your personal data within 30 days of a valid request

Exception for safety: when an account is deleted we keep a pseudonymized abuse-prevention record for up to 2 years — a one-way hash of the email address together with a trust score and blocking flags. It cannot be used to restore your profile, photos or messages, and it exists solely to keep blocks and safety measures effective if the same account is re-created. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse, harassment and ban evasion. You may object by writing to privacy@cosmomatch.me.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical measures (encrypted transport, access control) to protect your data. No method of transmission is 100% secure, so we encourage you not to share information you are not comfortable making visible to other users

2. Nature of the service

CosmoMatch is an experimental project for exploring astrological hypotheses. It is provided for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only. Readings, portraits and compatibility results are not professional advice of any kind — psychological, medical, legal or financial — and we make no guarantee about outcomes, matches or predictions

3. Eligibility

CosmoMatch is intended for users who are at least 14 years old. If you are under 18, adult dating features (swiping, matches and messaging) are not available to you, and where local law requires it we ask that a parent or guardian review these Terms with you. Content shown to users under 18, including the paid “Teen Deep” reading, is designed to be age-appropriate and teen-safe: it contains no adult, sexual or explicitly romantic content and no fatalistic predictions. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”

4. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential. You agree not to abuse the service, upload unlawful content, or attempt to disrupt other users

5. Paid features

Optional paid features (such as the Observatory) are described at the point of purchase. Prices and availability may change. Refunds, where applicable, are handled case by case

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CosmoMatch and the CosmoMatch Project Team are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions you make based on its content

7. Governing law

These Terms are intended to operate internationally. Where a choice of law is required, they are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Contact: privacy@cosmomatch.me.
